About this blog

You could be just a little bit unlucky to return home from Oslo, convinced that this dirty city is a total disaster, inhabited by drug addicts, prostitutes, and rude waiters charging you insane prices for a glass of beer.

Having travelled around for some years, I have always been looking for the special spots, the interesting stories, the refreshing walk, the friendly waiter and the passionate chef. Thanks to all the people who have told me about their experiences in hundreds of articles, books, and internet blogs throughout the years, I have been lucky to enjoy some great moments.

Oslo Says is my humble contribution to a hopefully cozy visit to Oslo. It is really a nice city, if you know what you are looking for.  You will find blog posts on restaurants and shops, parks, theatre and music, history and culture. If you need information on accomodation and travel companies, you will find useful links in the right column. And the blog will certainly become more useful if you leave a response.

Enjoy!

  1. Experience Oslo’s new Dinner-variéte-Show at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel! The first international cabaret in Oslo.

With seven artists on stage, we want to give you an evening with fantastic show numbers full of catchy music.

Like other European cabarets is the variéteartist present. Illusionist Roy Bjerke will in addition to their own show from the stage also show magic so close that you will not believe it’s true …

Between the numbers there is served a delicious 3-course menu from our kitchen. When the show is finished, you are more than welcome to take a trip up in the hotel bar for a perfect ending to the evening.

Opening day of the cabaret is November 13th 1930. Plays until Christmas.
